The Project
This case study highlights a project I completed as part of an online qualification. I used a random project generator to provide the scope and the result was the Nevis Smart Watch. The project guidelines stipulated that I should create a visual identity for the brand and build digital products for both desktop and mobile devices. The designs should also include a short animation.
Design Process
I started the process by creating a visual identity and design system for the Nevis brand. Following this I produced hi-fidelity wireframes and then working prototypes.
I used the hands from a watch face to form the V in Nevis and chose a vibrant yellow-green as the primary colour. A requirement was to create a short animation and I wanted to incorporate the watch face into this. I decided to show the minute hand rotating 360° and to use the animation as part of the onboarding along with a mailing list sign up overlay.
